Need help!

I have one of those stick on decal stickers on my rear window and as i was scraping off the ice, it also took off part of the decal and it looked a tw*t so i though i would scrap it all of except for the last bit. The window is now scratch badly and looks a tw*t...anyone know how to repir this? With it being the rear window it isnt economical to replace the whole thing! I also have the other half of the decal still on and dont know how im gonna get it off without causing more damage.

any ideas?

thanks

been to halfords and they only got a chip repair kit for £25 which is no good. Autoglass say they carnt repair it and want to replace it!! Its too expensive to buy the glass because its the rear one and they say that i could pay £50 though insurance but i dont think reno ins. will pay out for that! God im totally gutted :( I was having such a crap day - i opened the door and it flew open and smacked straight into a stone wall, chipping away paint on the edge of the door and putting small dints in it.

You can get them out because there is a kit from america for $99 that works but does anyone know of any good polish or something that can get them out? It really looks a mess.

I got the second part off by using a hair dryer and peeling it off.

Moral of this story is leave the tacky maxpower stickers off, cleaner the better imho.

However thats not very helpfull so i would be tempted to get the rest off using non celulose thinners or similar. Then find a piece of glass scratch it in a similar manner to your rear window then use this as your test piece. Use a very fin abrasive like brasso or finer see if that gets rid of the deeper scratches then use normal polish to see if that then gets rid of the fine scratches. Hope this helps even if the above doesnt work i would defo use a test piece of glass to make sure you dont knacker your wind further.

Halfords sell someything called Intensive Glass Cutter which may help. Its a glass polish which can hide minor scratches and also cleans your windows superbly. Its a bit of elbow grease but it might be worth a shot.

thanks guys. Ive been all over looking for something but halfords only came up with some stuff by turtlewax that removes light scratches. Ill give that a go. I got the rest of it off by heating it up using heatgun/hair dryer and peeling it off - should have done that in the first place. Where do i get brasso from? any supermarket?

I didnt see that Intensive glass cutter stuff, everywhere just sells bloody auto-glym. Non of the hardware places have the proper stuff but someone suggested metalic T-cut but im not sure about that.
