need quick reply for brakes plz.....

Hi, i really need some advice on how to remove the disk on my car, ive removed every part of my brakes and now i need to get the disk off and it wont budge. I have the whole caliper off and have drilled the trox screws heads off the disk.

Any ideas, ive been out hitting the back of it with a hammer, but dont want to cause too much damage incase it dont come off and i have to leave it and drive to work 2moro.

If the screws are out and not holding it on at all you can hit it with a lump hammer hard, if your worried...put a block of woob between the hammer and disc.

yeah use a hammer!! thats what i had to do.

Alternatively put the wheel back on and put a could of studs in but only loosely. Rock the wheel back and forth and it should help free the hub up.

thx ill try that, if it dont come of and ive got a few dents on my disk can i still dirve my car? the dents will be on the back side.

Lol ! Do Renault mechs have bigger hammers than other mechanics ??

Sorted, thx for your help guys, just got the biggest meanest hammer and blastest the badboy off, and i missed a couple of times and ive got the phatest blister in the world. OUCH

Anyway, its all good, new disks and new pads, i checked to see if the noise im getting was my bearings, and with the wheel in the air i held it at 3 and 9 oclock and it moved a bit side to side so im guessing its the bearings, and the howling noise is the caliper it makes the pads rub on hard to the disk all the time.

Going into the garage next week for mot and get everything fixed as i think my manifold or cat(that area) is busted as well as my car is driving well sh*t and sounds well blowy and crap.
