Need some advice

  Clio 2.0 172
Found this early model Ph2 nquite cheap with the timing belt done and low miles with service history and receipts and all the rest. The reason it is cheap is apparently down to it needing 2 new window motors. Is this a common fault or should i be a bit wary? cheers

  Lots of Alfas
Its fairly common, fairly straight forward to repair iirc especially if you go down the 2nd hand route. Normally its not the motors but something plastic that snaps.

  200bhp 172 cup
as above mate :). Yep that is cheap!! have you viewed the car yet? if not be double sure to give it a proper lic over with a magnifying glass

Ah rite cool. Just browsing nearly ever day for a 172 with low miles that is in as best condition as i can afford but soo far it's proving that my budget isn't gonna go much further than a Ph1

i bought my mint 172 cup from scotland after id seen a few dogs from down south :rasp: the drive home was fekin awsome!!. between the ph2 and ph1 on your budget id much rather have a mint ph1 than an ok ph2 clio. and the ph1 front end is much better looking :D

Lol I have about 3-3.5k to spend but must have belts done and no more than about 50k miles if possible. I'll agree the Ph1 looks really cool outside, just the lack of xenons as standard and the interior overall is a bit of a let down compared to a Ph2
