Need someone local to port talbot

I need some help, is someone able to try my rheostat in their 182/172 to see if my one is faulty before shelling out the 100 odd quid for a new one!
Anyone pretty local able to help?

Do you mean thermostat?

If so , £5 from local motor factors and about 5 mins to change

Would a faulty thermostat stop the climate control from blowing any air at all?
