Negotiating a deal for a Cup!!

I negotiate my deal with Renault for the cup on Sunday. So from what you fellas have heard or read, what do you think my target should be to get a deal.

Its current retail price is £13,200 so where do you think I should aim to get a deal.







I have a Quiksilver 1.4 and they have told me theyll give me around £5,500 for mine (just so ya know the story)

How you paying for it?! Finance, loan, cash, etc...

This can dictate how much you get off!



I never had to haggle on mine though as it was got at discount through a friend, but there are plenty of people on here that did get money off and a good deal, so Im sure theyll help you.

Check out the thread about the climate control on the second page, there is a web site that passes on your info to a renault dealer who have already guaranteed a price. Im trying to get my hands on a cup with cc but have found out that they are not taking any more orders so im starting to worry that i wont be able to get a new one. I dont want a 182, costs too much etc. Mike-cups dealer found one for him at an agreed price. My current dealer seems reluctant to budge from 12900 but ive been given another price of 12200 from the people i speak about above. So hope they can help me find and purchase what im looking for as i have the dollars ready and waiting!

Can any of the renault boys help me find what im looking for or point me in the direction that they know a cup with cc is within the system?

Thats what i was going to meet my dealer with although i wanted him to come down as i proposed 12200, but no hes like there arent any in the system what do you want to do and im like find me a car then you can talk to me about it!

Just to let you know, i.m selling mine and the dealers I have spoken to have given me a really low price, citing the fact that there are going to be some really good deals on new Cups in the run up to christmas, and the gap between new and used needs to be sufficiently wide. (How true?, dont know) Might mean they are more open to offers. (XMAS is always a slow time for car sales anyway)

Your best bet would be to put the deal on the table as you see it and actually get up and leave if they say no. They might then call you back / phone your mobile if they think theyve lost a sale. You have nothing to lose, you can always go back later that day!!!

Xtreme. I got mine for 12k with CC by telling them I could get it from a broker for £11700. But I managed to sell my car first so had cash.

Tell them youll go to another dealer. When I got my 172 (not cup) I was playing 3 dealers off each other. the list price was £14,600. I finally paid £13,000. (this was using Ren Finance)

I agree with Rich-D with xmas coming its all about sales figures.

Well looks like i have a dilema, i really want climate control but there dont seem to be any in the renault dealer system with the exception of the two silver cups which i am yet to confirm exist. I know that there is no problem getting hold of a "normal" cup.

So do i get a bad bwoy blue cup without cc or go for a silver, slightly less pimp colour with cc? Talk about a crap dilema.

As for prices, i am confident that if i was to go blue that i can get one for below 12k easily! Have several web sites calling me monday to confirm weather or not they are able to source a clue one with climate. U never know i might be lucky

Thanks to rickyboy, called up the bath renault and spoke with the sales manager who was more than helpful and confirmed that no cc are avaiable. Shame seemed to be a whole heap more responsive than the delaer i have been speaking to for weeks. odd that.

I did ask at what stage the cc is fitted and thats at production, which has ceased so its a case of finding one somewhere in the uk, which i hope to do... cant wait for monday.

got my Cup for 12,100............that was with a p/ex........ordered end of september. some other stuff thrown in aswell, but nothing to really shout about.

by the way, recently spoke to someone who had climate fitted post production...........dealer sorted it with reno UK import centre, dunno how much it cost tho
