Network card question

Open up device manager and go to the properties of 1 of the conflicting cards. On that there is a resources tab, untick the use automatic settings and select something from the "setting based on" box that doesn't have any conficts listed in the conflicts box below. Hope that makes sense.

Well it has just started. I put a fire wire card in and a day or so later it went daft the pc could not get on the net. Also the pc would not boot not even into safe mode. So i took out the fire wire and it was ok. So i put another one in and it did the same. So i sent it back. My brother gave me a fire wire and it would not allow me on the net. So i took it out and it is ok. So i have put it back in a nd updated drivers and it is ok for now.

Agree. I've had loads of issues with VIA chipsets in the past...

Btw Lee, did you try putting the firewire card into another PCI slot? Or did you keep trying the same slot?
