New 182 owner from Doncaster

Hi All, just purchased a 54 plate Clio 182 sport and will pick it up on Monday

I have a varied car history all starting with a Clio Williams when I was 17 (I was very lucky), along the years I have had many Fords (I am a Ford nut tbh) including Fiesta turbo, bonus a few ZS's, escort cabby, Ford Orion RS (Still have and is up for sale) and Mondeo ST TDCi, I have also had a mk 2 MG ZS180, Renault Megane 225, also A megane DCi.....

After seeing the 182 and reading owners reviews it sounded like it would be as much fun as the Williams but with more power as standard. After seeing the car in the flesh I had to have it

I will be looking to upgrade the brakes and eek out some more horses if possible....all advice is much appreciated.

I live in Doncaster - are there many members from around this area and are there local meets / shows coming up?

I live in Moorends so outskirts of Donny....moved here to get on property ladder as the houses in York where I work cost a fortune lol

Good to know there is a spare place located very close and that there are loads of members around too - is there any local meets planned?

Also is there any club stickers availiable to buy?

Yeah look in the meets section mate, we always have decent Yorkshire meets, and we're a decent set of lads and girls.

Thanks Mate! looking forward to meeting local members etc.......Also, Where is the FCS located? Would love to come to this....and be on the stand I assume I would have to be a paying member too which wont be a problem....

Only know about Ford shows you see lol

FCS is at Rockingham Raceway on June 5th, and yes you would have to be a paying member. There will be a decent Yorkshire convoy if you fancy tagging onto that?

Yes I still have the ZS however someone crashed into me and I am now breaking it - gutted as I spent so much time and money on it

yes I am on Octane styling too - shame some of the members are more into slating the site and other members cars instead of trying to take it forward..... I am also on doncaster modified, ZSOC, Fordfreaks and fast n modded.

Its light blue (cant remeber the official colour lol) but not the flat blue with white stripes on the cup model - metalic.....

I have had a few Renaults in the past so know some of the common issues - my williams used to overheat all the time lol

I am used to Fords breaking all the time so Renaults cant be that bad lol (I hope not anyway)

and yes cant wait until Monday - already have a few plans of how to make it stand out. I hate staying with the norm. All my cars are usually total one offs - I like to stand out lol I will post up some pics of my fezza and a few other cars I have had to show u what I mean hehehe

hoping some of the bits from my fezza will fit on the clio.....

nah its not that bad - its a village lol I am from coventry so to me Moorends is quiet etc Balby (Selby area) isnt bad after all its a few miles from York...which is really nice (I used to live there too) and I still work there... and commute from Donny. Every area wil have its good and bad places.....
