New Alternator Needed

My alternator has gone on my 172, any idea how much an exchange will be to buy and fit?

Go to your local backstreet garage and buy a good quality replacment for £49.99 plus VAT might be cheaper if you take your old one in too, was for me. Bought a Heller replacment for the missus Fiesta and had it fitted in 1 hour for £58

Mine had to be replaced on my 182 (under warranty, Luckily!)

It took them 3 days!

They had to take the whole of the front end of the car to bits. It was scary when I went to see it after the first day!

Thats what the garage had to do to my 182, because you cannot get into it otherwise.

Ditto...mine had to be done too (under warranty).....Although I did have mine back the next day ...
