New bulbs and headlight adjustment?

  133, 182, Kangoo 182
Fitted some new bulbs from Halfords the other day (buy one get one free) but they seem to be a lot higher than the old ones. Whether or not this is simply because they're brighter and light up more or not I don't know.

It's the passenger side which I know sits a little higher anyway as to light up the right side of the road, but it seems like it's too much. Nobody has flashed me or anything, but a mate said they were very bright in his rear view (Really?.. I bought brighter bulbs and they're brighter??).

Anyway.. so I was wondering if I can manually adjust these further to make it slightly lower (the dial is all the way down) or do I have to take it to a garage and have them do it? Just want to know if it's possible more than anything, not if it's possible but a garage has to do it legally or something..

Matt.

Edit - Wow my posts are stupidly long sometimes. Sorry. :s

when the car is unloaded the headlight adjustment should be at its highest point. when you fill the boot up or have people in the back you are meant to adjust them down.

so it sounds to me like they are shining too high. are they clipped in right? they may need the lens adjusting as you may have moved it slightly as you have put the new ones in.

I've always had mine right down.. just prefer it there.

When I clipped the bulbs in I knocked it off of the adjuster, but it clipped back on and there is no movement so it's where it was before.

Just thought there may be a way to manually adjust the lights further.
