[Dj Annihilation]

Hi Guys

Sold the old iceberg Clio a few years back so haven't been on here for ages.

Got a few other cars in between but ended up buying a 04 182 recently which I am beginning to wish i didn't bother....quite a lot of work required from what i can see!!

Had to sort the heaters out as they weren't blowing...

Now the problem i have surrounds reverse lights and the fact they are not working. Does anyone know what it could be, i did notice when selecting reverse gear the rear wiper doesn't work either when the wipers are set to auto (i remember this activating on my old clio)

Could both problems be related, i really need to fix this issue as i know it will cause MOT problems.

I have checked the bulbs on the clusters and they seem fine, all other lights appear to work fine.

Could anyone give me a hand with this at all?

Cant help on the fault but dont think reverse lights are tested on MOT?

Danny is right. Reverse light is not compulsary, its a courtesy light.

Sounds like the lights/wiper issue is linked though.

Probably a reverse switch sensor.

Oh right I see. Would that fit the 182?

Yes. You can get a non gen one for about £12 but tbh with sensors etc, i'd rather have genuine.

Reverse lights and rear wiper are not tested on MOT. As Daniel said, looks like a reverse switch fault.

Il give you something to laugh about. Mr Renault said my clutch was heavy for a Clio. I thought sports had much heavier clutches than other clios? I don't rate there service to be honest. When they spoke to me I'n the phone it sounded like they had no clue

I got a squeaky aux belt on full lock was replaced at 50kish I said does it need replacing making that noise he said he'd check 5 mins on hold later. It shud be fine as its not due and looks healthy condition....do I rely on the manufactures advice? Lol

Yep definatly reverse switch. As Daniel said genuine is the best option to go for
