New car smell!!

its werid - my dads got a 2.5 year old celica and it still smeels show room fresh despite never cleaning the interior - weird
anyways paul next youll be finidng something that makes your exhaust smell fragrant no doubt
my car does smell pretty nice! as my seats arent very old
but if there is a product that smells like a new car! that will be fab as previouly there hasnt ever been anything that smells half like a new car!!

Mine does to an extent as well.
Picked up one of my friends who i hadn't seen in a while and as she got in she said "oh, i love your new car, you can tell its brand new from the new car smell." Yeah, four years old new car smell love.

Yer, ive actually just washed my car and used it as a drying aid detailer, its not bad and gives a decent shine, not as good as carnuba spritz IMO, but not bad not bad. Does not smell like new renaults tbh. Valeted my entire interior and ive applied VRP Dressall to the plastics and given the seats and uphoulstry a clean with autoglym interior shampoo and sprayed autoglym autofresh all over.

cars with leather seem to keep the smell longer. My dad's merc is 2005 and it smells like new but the one he had before (an R reg) smelled new when he sold it in 2006.
If you carry dogs, food (especially fast food) or people (especially children) in your car a lot they start to smell less fresh. I've once been driven in a zafira which was less than 6 moths old and the guy's kids had already stunk it out with food / drink spills and dribble.
My sisters friend had an 'accident' in his girlfriends new fiat. He was farting in it all day and she was getting wound up with him, he went to do another ripper, farted, then went 'ooooh... I've shat myself' he had followed through in his shorts and left a streak of liquid poo on the drivers seat. That car never smelled new again.

I still can't believe no one has made a air freshener that smells just like a brand new car would. Surely if someone made it they'd make millions lol.

Afaik new car smell is the result of some chemicals in the plastics evaporating, that is why cars sometimes smell good after they have been sitting in the sun, specially if they are rather new....I once heard that "new car smell" is actually very bad for us

there is a new car airfreshner tree thing. they sell it in tesco. its blue. love it.
beef ,the bubble gum smell is from a deodiriser from a company /nielson chemicals,they also do an air freshener as well ,if you go to the garage you bought car from they might give you some or get contact details for nielson rep about £20 a gallon but you dilute it with water ,so it should last years.
