i hate max power/fast car feature cars but you can at least see where all the cash is gone and how theyve out chaved the next man along. I see cars all week near me (unfortunately) that are as modded or alot more so than yours and none of them are magazine featured.Shallow ? ok how about mods to draw attention to myself, that would be you not me. Telling everyone you have a "show car" you not me. Bragging about knowing some lads who own a car modding business and how they are well rich (cant remember the exact phrase but suggested they were amongst the most affluent people in the country) so whos shallow...

Yeah Mandy unfortunalty you are right. This forum is crap anyway. You lot arent real people your just bothered about how fast you can go before you end up killing yourselves!

You lot should learn to bite your tounges. There is a lot I dont like about peoples cars but I dont walk up to them and say it straight to thier faces. No actually you lot are even to stuck up to tell me what you think to my face at French Car Show.
It makes me sick that you can think yourself so much better than anyone else who comes on this forum just because you own bigger engine cars than the others. I dont want power yet, my insurance will be sky high with a higher powered car. I am making do with what I have. Yeah maybe in 2 years time Ill look back and think what the hell was I doing, but at least I had fun doing up my car!

Free speech is a wonderful thing that in this country is in decline due to PC bullsh*t. I wasnt at the FCS but im happy to tell people what i think of their cars to their faces. I dont have a problem with people not liking mine i dont take it personally if they dont like it what do i care.

I have never in the 12k odd posts ive made taken the piss out of someone or their car due to the engine size.

Fair enough no-one said you should put a bigger engine in there or buy a higher powered car. If you want to do non performance mods knock yourself out its your choice.
im sure you probably think im an asshole but i have an opinion and i dont sugarcoat it for anyone thats just me and at least people know where they stand. Ask anyone thats met me or the countless people i have helped or given advice to on this forum over the years and im sure most will say im a decent bloke.

You lot need to think about what you say more. You dont need to go about telling people exactly what you think. There is constructive critisim, just pass the occasional comments not a full blown get rid of that and that and what the hell is that!
You think it is just blokes who like performance. Trev over to girlracer.co.uk there are plently of girls over there who would give you a run for your money. Oh try reading a couple of posts over there and see what a nice community it is whatever you drive, whatever your opinion is and whatever sex you are. They make everybody feel welcomed
ive been over there in the past they are a more cruise orientated site hence them not having issues with bodymods.
Some of the girls here drive 182s 16vs or even V6s so i dont think anyone here is suggesting that a prerequisite for performance is ownership of a penis,lol. I think most of the girls here no matter what they drive have been welcomed (sometimes too warmly) when they sign up.

Im not a fan of silly bodykits and giant spoilers either, I think the majority of them look absolutely ridiculous and the badly-done ones look hysterical (I love Barryboys.co.uk). Ill admit a *few* look OK though, even though I wouldnt want them on my car.
However, as you say Sexysez, its your car and if you like it thats the main thing.
I think the reason youve unfortunately come in for a lot of sh*t on this site is that most members are more into performance mods.

Good point, I havent been on this forum for very long and I must say to me it is a very friendly helpful forum.
People are entitled to there own opinions whether u like them or not. Everyone isnt going to have the same view as you, if you cant take it perhaps u shouldnt post it.

You guys seem to think that any mod to a car makes it chav.. Think you guys dont understand the word chav then.
If I see a car driving down the road, standard looking with a big bolt on spoiler on the roof then I class that as chav.. If I see a car all subtly modded and thought and time gone into it then its a nice modified car.
Dont lay into soeone that wants to be individual and change the way their car looks.
Some of the older generation will class modified cars as boy racer.. But thats fine with mostof us.. just seems you lot like to call anything modified Chav.
Life must be soooo boring for some of you here.. youd all get more excited walking round a dealer forecourt than a car show.

My car is far from standard as are many on here, but there is a difference between tasteful and OTT. Believe me id get more excited about a standard looking car thats had a shedload spend on handling and performance than a huge bodykit spoilers lights and rediculously oversized chrome wheels.
Bring back the old days when modified cars had subtle bodywork mods with smoothed lines debadging and a decent set of wheels and a big drop and none of this "jap look" snowplough bumpers and F&F spoilers bolted to everything.
I understand what you mean about the whole F&F look, but there are different bodykits out there that compliment a cars looks.. My car has had a change of bumper and sideskirts.. just basically moderning a car.
I enjoy engine mode being the reason im on approx 200bhp, handling is sorted on coilovers. I wanted a car that didnt look the same as every other Fiesta RS Turbo out there... and I have achieved this..
