Unfortunately the modding scene in recent years has been overtaken by townies who want nothing more than to fit stupid spoilers and bumpers, wheels you can barely turn when fitted, enough ice/playstations/tvs to fill a branch of dixons, then spray with a wanky metalflake paint in a rediculous colour then drive to the nearest retail park make a noise and drive like a prick. Then when the police and general public see anything other than 100% standard car they tar the likes of myself with the same brush as these morons.

Then when the police and general public see anything other than 100% standard car they tar the likes of myself with the same brush as these morons.
i think this post is ridiculous...
fair enough you dont like overly modded cars but the girl just posted saying her car was going into the bodyshop. next thing she gets torrents of abuse, and you set about picking apart anything she says in response. (e..g. flux not paying out for this and that.... i expect she just got the cheapest quote)
yes you have a right to say what you want, but IMO you look like an arsehole doing it. you can say whatever you like but surely it just creates a bad atmosphere and you could get your views accross without ripping people apart.
I think Cliosport is great and most people are very helpful but it amazes me when people get shocked that CS has a bad rep among other car clubs when you get threads like this.
FYI i dont like overly modded cars too but on a car enthusiasts site you will get people who do. deal with it, and the forum will be a nicer place. FFS our own mods get loads of sh*t let alone people who dare not conform to the subtle styling ethics.

lol, i think tbh sez doesnt do herself any favours with the reactions she gives. Bite and people push further. Give personal abuse back in return to people critisizing her car and they will give abuse back. Or gloat/show off about being magazine feature, what their mates have and generally speak down to people they will usually react in that way in return lol. If someone says my car looks like a piece of sh*t i dont give a toss and i dont get all shirty if they did. i used to have a renault 5 turbo and due to their reputation for being unreliable and a bit of a geezers motor i used to get sh*t all the time. I didnt care it never broke down and was a huge laugh to drive so i was happy.
Ive just read all this thread and cant say it makes very nice reading. I dont like that sort of thing myself but dont feel any need to slate her for it, just as much as owning a 182 is hated by some. We all like different things, why not lay off the bitchy stuff a little? Would make the forum a nicer place.
Ive been with Flux for 4 years and never had a problem.. when my car got wrote off I had a courtosy car while the insurance fought for my money..
Yeah, sometimes you have to wait a while to get through, but surely that shows they are good. If I called an insurance company and they answered straight away id be worried
