The new clio range is out next year but what of other new cars, we have rumours of a sport version of the mitsi colt with a possible turbo or 2 in winter/sping, corsa gsi another tuneable turbo in spring, ctr revamp b4 crimbo...minor adjustments to suspension n steering with a possible 0.2 secs off its 0-60, to mention just a few of the new cars on the block, palpitations n sweaty palms anybody?

The C2 vtr is laughably slow. 11 seconds 0-60.

The Cupra R is coming there will be two engine options I belive either a 150hp diesel or a 210hp 1.8T petrol.

I would imagine the diesel is going to sell better as it has 200hp and 300lb torque with just a chip. The petrol will hit 270hp and 260lb torque with a chip as well. The extra 70hp has to be discounted gainst the higher running costs. Also look at the present sporty Ibiza it only comes in a diesel form.
