although the golf needs v3s and a map to be a good hot hatch, why would you not get an r26!!!!!

The Golf's a very, very good hot hatch as standard, certainly more so than the VXR, Meg 225, and Focus ST IMO. Not the most exciting car, but brilliant.

200 < Astra VXR
200 > Corsa VXR
Megane R26 > VXR.

IMO, comparing the corsa VXR to the 200 (which I know little about atm.), Renault would have to have made a right hash with it for it to be worse. Personally when I look back at what they've done with Cups/Trophies/Vee's etc.. I doubt that will happen.
