New Clio Web Site...

Looks ok to me but like you have said there doesn't seem like many members "Most users ever online was 22 on Sat Apr 15, 2006 4:29 pm"

I think we are very lucky that way with Cliosport .. there are always people around :)

Fair play to them I say. It's a website aimed, presumably, at Clio owners who like to modify their cars. By implication, it's not aimed at Clio owners who dont like to modify their cars.

Considering many people here, myself included sometimes, often have an allergic reaction to modified Clio threads - are we now going to take the piss out of another website just because it caters for those tastes and minds it's own business?

I'm not challenging the OP, just a friendly alternative view :rasp:

I don't mind modified cars, as long as the person modifying has eyes and a little taste (This seems to be lacking on that website, but I have only looked at a few 'members' cars).

To be honest I agree with you, looking at my first post, it was a bit harsh. Too early I guess and the fact I'm at work.

^^ couldn't have said it better myself :approve:

If you look at the members list there are some CS members on there and I am not surprised that they go any discuss their mods elsewhere after some of the comments that are made on here :dapprove: tis a shame really

It seems to me that people with modded clio's get to much stick here and perhaps decided to make their own website?!? A mate of mine is a meet organiser on that site and i believe thats where clio_babe came from or am i wrong???

I say fair play to them..just because something is different doesnt mean its not right..

I love driving a modified car and can't imagine having anything left as standard..

Its all down to personal choice..

Saying that I do think the mods on the new pimp my ride ad have gone abit far..lol;)

fair play setting up your own site is costly as is maintenance. A site i run is £200 per year for the hosting alone.

I think its informative and a decent basis for info if your into that stuff. Some decent topics in there as well on susp lowering and wheels as well.

guid luck to them

:approve:

Been a member there for a month or so, some of them seem to know what they're talking about. I on the other hand, have no idea what they're talking about most the time  lol

£200 a year?? I built my own server for that and run it on 8mb ADSL, which is plenty.

Thats about the going rate for hosting nowadays. Not just the cost you got to take into account, your getting as suposedly secure machine which is maintained and backed up in adatacenter. You could do this yourself but at a greater cost and inconvenience.

I'm on that site too :) I joined because I like Clio websites as everyone shares the same liking for one thing and because it's good to see what others are doing to their Clio's in terms of modifying.

I have a modified Clio but I really couldn't care if someone else didn't like it, your not going to please everyone with what you do but if it's my car and I like it then i'm happy lol.
