New Clutch time? Are they easy to replace?

The biting point on my '95 MK1 phase 2 is right at the top, does this mean my clutch is fooked? Are they reasonably easy to fit, what do i have to do, will a Haynes manual explain?

Cheers

haynes manual will explain, you need a decent tool kit, axle stands a trolley jack and a torque wrench. (WD40 too)

it's more time consuming than hard!

Are any special tools required? Spring compression, or an alignment tool?

Also, could i just tighten the clutch so the biting point is lower down?

dont need a clutch alignment tool no, they make it harder if anything in my oppinion, you can line it up by hand through the 3 gaps on the pressure plate, peice of piss.
you need to slacken the clutch cable off if you want the bite lower.
