whats the best brand of sandpaper to use on my car before I wax it?

Don't be daft david, it's not called sandpaper anymore. It's glasspaper - showing your age there! ;)

Nice one Daz, it's good to see this forum.

One question, though, as detailing is quite a techincal subject, should it not be in the Technical section?

i clean with hd-cleanse first after washing with auto bathe, i have no swirls because its always been looked after and properly cared for ;)

And the concours isn't the £1500 one, even i would pay that, think mine was £140 but i bought a whole kit for around £200

Your's must have come of a different production line to mine then ... Or maybe racing blue doesnt show them like Black!

I think you should upgrade to the Vintage then!

its probably to do with the colour mate, black always show them more, blue is very good at hiding them, and theres no way i would use the vintage unless i was in the trade, thats stupid money for a bit of bees poo!

I have to agree there, my last two cars where blue and never bothered with a PC until the 182 and Black.

Came in handy on Sunday, Fancy sorting this by hand?

jay you been feeling alright? last time i saw your car it had had 3 coats of polish in the last 24hours, lol. oh and you fancy doing mine? :)

Gave it a good clean in mid October ready for Winter. It's too cold for me to spend 8 hours outside polish and waxing :(

Just giving the beast a weekly wash, until it gets a bit warmer.

Cheers Jay, Like you say - It's to cold really to do much out, I polished that Cossie and the cold and damp made it a real pain.
