New Exhaust

Getting a bit annoyed with how loud it is in the cabin (im getting old). Pretty sure its down to the exhaust... think ive got a magnex back box with oval tail pipe. Anyway, long journeys are hell and you need to shout to have a conversation.

Can anyone advise if a new exhaust will make it a bit quieter?

If so any recommendations on what exhaust to go for on a ph1 172 (2000 W reg)? The quieter the better. Was looking at the stealth system on yozzasport.

Also how much it would cost to get one fitted?

As Fred has said there's the Yozzasport stealth.

Also K-tec stealth and
Pro-speed. I have a Pro-speed on my Cup and it is made on the car itself...so you know that the exhaust is made specifically for YOUR car.

They are based in Cardiff (Pro-speed)
Yozzasport are based in Staffordshire
I think K-tec are based around Cambridgeshire. (could be wrong)

Im in Edinburgh, so would have to order one and get a garage up here to fit it. Im not sure if this will be possible, ive spoken to some garages in the past (about separate matters) and they said they wont fit anything unless they supply the part.

Speak to Ali, he uses IF motorsport (i think) at Knockhill, there's loads of motorsport place up there!

ours will cost you about 1hour to 1.5hrs labour to have fitted (if you're having a decat, if not its an hour job tops)

If a loud exhaust gave noticeable power increase most people could live with it. What is slowly becoming apparent is that they do'nt.

The Yozza job I believe is not known for its quietness.

So whats the general consensus - do exhausts make an impact on performance?

Im not really bothered about an extra 5bhp here or there, would rather be able to have a conversation on a 5hr journey along the M6...

in my opinion noise = power, but thats just me!

some are louder than others , i have a prospeed on mine .

i would recommend you check some out before spending your hard earned cash on a dissapointment .
