New Front Splitter...

Hey guys, I want to buy a new front splitter but not sure what type to get, what would you recomend?

I've heard people say skoda splitters fit, is that the only other option or is there loads to choose from? :S

Here's my car atm with the standard splitter:

There is different ones. But all the others except the skoda ones are super expensive for what they are.

Skoda can't go wrong for £12

Yep

You'll have to cut the ends off as Its too long.. Just make sure you get it roughly central

Ah okay cheers also thinking about getting a tow - ring/eye, are they expensive? and do they come in any other colours because I've only seen them in silver lol

Mine was erm £18 on a group buy a few months back
So not expencive IMO
I'm not too sure, I'm gonna spray mine black as its not stainless steal and is rusting!

Not a fan of tow straps tbh

Oh it looks like stainless steel think I'd either get a black or yellow one, but yeah, they look better than tow straps

I'll just get some black spray on it,
It looked good when it was silver, now it's like green flol.
Never seen one in any other colour than silver though

Yeah SO easy!
Erm, literally you'll see the hole roughly where my tow eye is, scrub out the dirt, can use a bit of thread lock so it doesn't get knicked, an just screw it in!

For £11.34 or whatever they are and a nice clean look you really can't go wrong with the Fabia vRS. For info though people also fit:

* Clio Cup splitter (around £120 IIRC and looks nigh on identical to the Fabia one except the face is curved not flat and it's glossy not matt)
* Mk 1 Megane splitter (much deeper than the cup splitter but not as clean looking)
* Lean Cupra mk2 (? the 2000-2004 Leon) splitter

As said the vRS one is by far the best. Cheapest, cleanest looking, fits very well, soft plastic so super easy to cut/drill into, plastic is so soft infact that in most scrapes the splitter just tears and your bumper stays intact!

Just ordered the splitter will be buying the tow-ring from somewhere as well soon cheers guys!

Going to fit the splitter on Friday so I'll get some photos up soon.
Also, how is the old splitter fitted? is it clipped on or screwed in or what?
