New Guy Here - With my Loud Clio

  Clio 16v

Hehe each to there own as has already been said

Thats unlistenably loud!

You know what they say, you cant play good music quietly - you have to turn it up!

at shows its brilliant, its not a daily system its for competitions and shows only

oooo i remember you... did you have 2 15s in that golf at one point and was it green?

i think i came and sat with you in at at phat beats open day

No the golf was always black

the green golf was jazz 152dbs i think

my god that looks awful!

youve got the basics of a cracking system thier but poor fitting/rushed has made it piss poor!

Also that boot with the blue subs in, why oh why do you have speakers in the shelf? they will be f**ked fighting all that bass tryin to get out!

f**k them off!

Its not the basics, is IS a cracking system

Its not designed to look pretty its designed to be loud, im not interested in winning any show and shine competitions. If your definition of a cracking system is a well trimmed one then thats your tastes, I would rather mine sound amazing then look amazing, if you want art then hand a picture in your car, I want loud great quality tunes in my car and thats definitly what I have!

and yes, 6x9s in the same airspace as the subs is asking for trouble.

In a small car you shouldnt need 6x9's anyway - just put good quality component speakers in the front doors - your ears point forwards not back so dont have speakers behind you

the only real need is maybe if you have passangers and they need a bit of rear fill but otherwise have it faded fully to the front

Im sure the above BOLD section is a direct quote from what i said the other day!

As for what i said earlier...eg the basics. yeah you have nice equpiment but whats equpiment if it isnt installed properly? I bet youd be 100 times happier if there wasnt 1 wire in sight or the trimming was perfect. You cant say that it would make it worse surely!?

Personally if i heard your car, for example at a show, id wonder over. thinking f**k me thats loud, look insde and think oh dear what a shame its such a mess! and walk away! anyone can build a bass monster, ive done it in the past, what seperates you from the crowd is making yours stand out. doesnt have to be all flashy lights and fancy colours. im just sayin a general bit of tidying goes a long long way!

Not having a go at your efforts or your system so dont go all internet warrior on me now. Just think youd get a whole lot more credit if you paid a bit of attention to detail rather than "f**k it, lob it in all now and i'll sort it later"

I only joined yesterday so i havn't seen any of your previous postings, but its the same thing I tell anyone who asks about speakers in the back - great minds my friend :)

as for the state of my equipment, It is installed perfectly, Its safe, its secure and it works very well, Its not pretty but then Im always changing things to try and get louder so a full on stealth install can get a little bit of a pain to work with. having to re trim something when I add more power cables or having to re trim the box after flaring the port some. I fiddle to much its not worth the hassle

Im not an internet warrior, I know people on the 'net have there opinions and I have been around long enough to know that you cant change them.

Yes it would look better if it was tarted up but I really cant be bothered, Its loud and its sounds good which is all thats important to me,

Ghetto FTW

and how much happier were you after stage 3? i think you see where im coming from. Anyway...

good work none the less...nice to see the ICE scene is still around. Everyone, me include, has got the track bug (my saxo was on front cover of PFC, and just in Fast Car) but nice to see the ICE scene still goes strong!

Will be making a long awaited return soon. SQ setup though.

  Clio 16v
when the system is in a state that wont be changed and i have time to do it then yeah it is nice to make it look good but priority is on how it sounds

The db Drag scene is big in the uk still but the SQ scene is bigger still - are you planning on competing?

I just don't get the whole "Who's is louder!" concept! Waste of time and money! I walked by a competition where all they were playin was a single frequency! Mad Chav's gi'in "Awww thats magic!"

Each to their own but i'd stick to my comps and HU.

same can be said about making you car faster tho...

what ever brings pleasure

thats why some peopple collect fish and others collect guns... differences makes the world go round

I can see the point to that! But if the quality of music is s**t then...I fail to see the point! I'm naive to the whole ICE business, but surely the point of having expensive sounds is for them to sound good! The Harmon Karden stuff in some of the Porsches i've been in and the BOSE stuff in my mums VW is leagues ahead of some 4-5k stuff i've heard in the past?!

I dont know many chavs with the time, money or knowledge to do spl.

the sound off db drag competitions are analogous to the drag racing strip - one car (or ICE system) designed to do one thing - go as fast as possible (or play one note as loud as possible).

6 10's in the boot of an m3 must have been a tight squeeze!!

with the m3 being a salon how would he put the window out?? hehe

just the general vibrations mate you couldnt hold the boot opener it used to vibrate so much it would hurt to hold it! fone used to jump about 5-6 inchs when it was sitting on the roof! the whole body used to flex was mad!

he fitted 3 either side looked kool form the front with the seats down! ive only got pics of it before it was all fitted properly but you get the idea was very very loud and had extreamly low bass. and as you can imagine it generated alot of intrest. was the extreme motorsport sound car for a while.
