You can buy an aftermarket stereo, alpine, jvc etc and get a stalk adaptor which will allow you to use the steering wheel controls.

  Audi A6
I have had a couple of ipod friendly head units, Alpine, Pioneer and a couple of others. I have alwyas found Alpine to be the best.

You will need a seperate cable with most units to be able to use the steering wheel controls, last time i checked these weren't cheap...around £70 - 100 although that could just be the shop i went to.

Most audio shops should have a pretty good idea of exactly what you will need.
