New Lambda Sensor

  Clio Trophy
My car needs a new Lambda sensor, i've heard there are 2 on a Clio 182. Do I have to buy the 2 or not? Plus the engine warning light has come on. Will I have to go to a Renault dealer to switch the light off?

As far as i am aware, there are two, one before the car and one after. I think so anyways

There are 2 , one pre CAT and one in the CAT , you only have to buy one . You could either get it reset ( turn light off ) at a dealership , or maybe a local mechanic can do the same . Or you could buy a OBD2 scanner for about £23 off ebay :

there are two on a 182. one is a pre cat the other post cat.

pre cat = bank one = regualting probe.

post cat = bank two = diagnostic probe.

you'll need an obd scanner like the one shown above to determine which lambda sensor you need to replace, oh and work on approx 60 ish for a bosch OE plug and play replacement part.
