New Lens advice

Currently rocking the standard 18-55mm lens that came with my D60.

But im thinking its not that great.

Id like a longer zoom lens, and something thats good for close up aswell.

Preferrably A/F aswell

Any recommendations?

Sigma 70-300 APO. £190ish. I think its a bargain lens, very good quality and reach for the price. Fully auto-focuses with the D60 (I have one too) and macro mode is very good - although this is where the camera struggles to focus but manual focussing in macro mode is very easy.

Yeah for Silverstone, it'd be tricky with less than 300mm in my (amateur) opinion. Some places are ok, but from the grandstands 300mm was great. Depends on your needs but its great to have the reach.

I'd worry buying from the bay just incase its not UK stock, because I think warranty may be invalid if it is. But I'm very skeptical buying from ebay anyway so that could just be me.

The second hand one will probably be ok though, even better if you can check it out first.
