  Clio 1.2 2004
Hi,
Im Ally & new to all this clio stuff recently bought a 2004 1.2 dynamic with 4800 miles on the clock with one owner in dark red and was looking for a few tips & hints on easy ways to make it look more personal than just rolled of the line look. Also if anyone could tell me the number like 172 ... 182 etc & what it means :S
Any help, hints or tips on how to make it more personal etc would all be very appreciated :p.

Cheers Ally :)

Hi, welcome !

Why would anyone else know what's personal for you ?! Maybe you could write your name on the sun strip ?

Also, 4800 miles ? Impressive but I hope that's been dry-stored up on stands for a few years.

Enjoyr your stay !

:)

Hi, by the number lots of people refer to cars by my 172 my 182 etc was just wondering what is ment by ti and where i can find mine out. The car was owned my my neibour ( a 70 year old lady who bought it from new and has it kept in her garage every day and has hardly been used oil has been chaneged every year and she had it serviced every year also by a local garage. my dad was with her when she bought the car a 7 years ago incase she got ripped off by a dealer since she was widdoed so its all genuine and brand new have all the documents service certificates, mot's, insurance, tax etc so was very happy to take it when she told me she was selling it :p

172 and 182 are reffering to the 2ltr RenaultSport clios, the number reffers to how many BHP they have.

Technically you'rs would be a 80ish? lol

£10 says that goes up in flames the first time you hit 3000 RPM !

172/182 are the RenaultSport Clio 2.0 varieties. The number refers to the alleged power output of the engines when they come out the factory - 172PS. The 182 has a slightly different exhaust and a sports cat, (not sure what else is diferent) which officially gives it another 10PS.

aww ok :L see iv redlined it a few times at 6000 rpm and its studdered a wee bit but actually runs amazing from a 1.1 1997 saxo ( first car ) and its 75bhp origanially :L so probs 65 most of the time lol
