New Member in Scotland

Hi Folks,

I've been registered here ages; since I started looking at Renault Sports really - only now can I maybe afford to run one. I'm getting a bit tired of driving the same old boring stuff, especially when driving is probably my number one past time

I'm looking at £2-£3k Clio 172s. Unfortunately everything i've looked at around here has been owned by a dodgy bloke/boy racer/general shifty bugger. I've promised myself that i'd never buy another car from someone that I just have a bad gut feeling about. Every car I have bought (5 altogether), I've been had on. I am always lied to and never go home with the car I expected In fact, I don't think I've bought a car and not had to spend significant money on in the first couple of weeks.

So, i'm here to scour the classifieds (and remain an active member!) and hopefully land something that has been looked after, and owned by an enthusiast. Reckon my above budget should land me something that hasn't been molested?

I've got some great info already and have a good idea what I'm looking for as a result, so cheers!

Dont limit yourself to Scotland mate, by doing so your limiting your market.

I.e whats a day out of the month to go to York for one you know has been cherished or going to Dundee for a ropey one? I know what i'd do!

2.5k will get you a very good example.
