New member....steering issue....need help

Hi, I am new to Cliosport, ive just bought a ph2 172, it's 100% standard but I seem to have a few issues with the steering or suspension. I've had a look around but can't see anything worn or broken or leaking etc...

The problem is a mixture of a few things, it may not be related but maybe it is...
Mainly it's the steering, it yanks the car either left or right and it seems to stick and then release it back to going straight (really really annoying!). I've done a few searches and I've seen lots of people mention this issue but no one have ever said they have fixed it?
Secondly when I come to a complete stop the car seems to creak, the brakes are all fine but I was thinking suspension? Then maybe related to first issue?
Thirdly when I've left the car for a short time parked and I get in it the rear seems to creak too (I'm not that heavy before you ask lol) it's sort either suspension or handbrake kind of creak, again possibly related issue?

I saw one person suggest it's a rear strut causing some of the issues and they said one side of the car at the back will be lower, I measured the gap and one side is slightly lower than the other? So maybe that?

If any one can help me with this that would be great :D
Also when I get these issues sorted I'll hopefully come to some meets and meet you all :)

check for: broken springs, oily/shot rear shocks, play in front axle (bottom balljoints, track rods and track rod ends).

My car used to get pulled all over the road, took it to Rentech they looked at the front tyres and they were very deformed. New tyres on and tracking helped this issue, but still not completely sorted. Still seems to pull left and right especially under heavy braking. Hope this helps.

Hi guys, thanks for replying :D
I will jack it up and get the wheels off and have a good look around, I can't see any leaks on the shocks when looking around the wheels.
Also I wanted to get new tyres anyway so might just go get some of them sooner then later :)

When you get in the car and it creaks its usually because you've not put the handbrake on tightly enough.

And try not to worry about creaks and rattles. Lets not forget this is a Clio. If somethings not rattling its because somethings not there!

i had the same problem, car would tug from side to side. pretty scary stuff!
bought 2 new bottom ball joints, went to fit them and found there was damage to one off my hubs where the bottom ball joint sits-not happy!
anyway..picked up a new hub fitted ball joints and all is good.
i hope you find out what it is, cars can be such a pain when you dont know 100% whats causing a problem
