Car  RenaultClio 1.4 Privilege
Hi there,

Got a 2001 5 door Clio 1.4 16v Privilege a couple of months back and have a few questions.

1: Whats the size of the pipe the induction kit fits to? I need to know as I have a couple of kits from other cars available to me and would like to know if one of them would fit.

2: Lowering: What's going to be best for ride comfort and look combined? 30mm or 60mm drop? I can get either for the same price.

3: Lowering: When lowering, is it advisable to replace the shock absorbers with lowered shox or can I get away with using the existing standard height one's?

I look forward to hearing your answers to my questions.

Taz

PS: This is a great forum, but can't find what I need to know.

Welcome to CS.

Someone will be along to help with your lowering questions, plenty of people in the know on here.

the clio will take a 30mm drop without overstroking the shocks. if you wanna go any lower coilovers are the only way forward

Thank you peeps!
Cheers for the lowering info, anybody know the induction kit info?

Taz

what cars are the kits from? I had a mate that put a mk1 clio onto his saxo then put it onto his 172 when he got that!

welcome to CS Taz...

What lowering kits are you looking at, I've got the -60mm Apex kit on mine with 15" mk1 172 alloys on and I love it, ride is pretty comfortable as long as you keep off country roads. Very please with it and half the price of coily's.
