Hello all
Just bought my 197 on a 57 plate , a few things need sorting , crunching in 4th gear , knocking coming from rear , rip in drivers seat and wanna get a remap , any body can help with these things ? Thank you

Hello and welcome sounds like you need a new gearbox before you get it mapped

A new gearbox ? Can't I get it rebuilt? And how much am I looking at ?

You can get it rebuilt but won't be cheap but if you take it out send it to agency transmission and refit your self and stick a new clutch in at the same time will save you loads

Yep, welcome mate. As above, the gearboxes on the mk3 aren't great. Sounds like you'll have an expensive start to ownership I'm afraid.
