new MP3 CD changer

Can i remove my Standard under driver seat Six CDchanger and replace with a MP3 Cdchanger that will function with all my existing steering controls? or is the CDchanger? any model suggestions better sound would be an added bonus also and shock proof £350-£400 to spend
