New Owner with a 182 Cup

  RS200
Welcome mate.

What's the spec of the car?

Thanks. Current spec so far is:-
Full decat Miltek
K&N Gen 2
Apex Springs
Sparco Terra wheels

Off to get mapped next week.

Best variant 182 you can get. Held in high regard on this forum

Thanks. Certainly is a great deal of fun to drive. I'm from a Jap background with high BHP Impreza's & Evo's but the Clio is a hoot on the twisty roadss.

Welocome aboard. What's the plans for it? Any pics? We like pics.

Thanks.

Planning on getting the bodywork upto a mint std first but not that much to do other than a few chips & scratches etc. Looking to upgrade the interior and also fit some Brembo brakes etc. After that I will maybe look at what I can do engine wise.

Pic of the car on the old owners drive when I bought it last week.

Ffs?. It does look tidy, although I'm not a fan of the 2118 wheels. I completely agree the clio is great on a country road and not too overpowered or too fast to get you into trouble.

Quite a good handling car and set up quite well being lowered 40mm.

I am used to a bigger Jap car so the smaller cars are great fun.

My old Tommi Mak was a great car to drive with plenty of grunt.

Although my old 106 GTI was also great fun.

Previous cars look great too
How do you find the springs? Lots of hate for apex on here lol.

I had them on a cup and found them fine

Yeah I have had a few decent motors in the past. Selection attached...... From my first car to pretty much now. Had a MK2 VRS too which was a great car.

I find them OK so far albeit a little stiff but that makes for a good handle around the bends etc. I may look to upgrade to coilovers eventually.

  Twingo 133 Cup,
I used to have a black fab vrs was quick in a straight line but not so much on the corners!

Will take the classic type r please :)

Yeah that was an awesome bit of kit. My favourite car so far from all of them I have owned. Was an anima to drive and would certainly let you know about it if you weren't on the ball. Running circa 380 bhp and similar torque. The low ratio box was a b**ch though on a long journey. 5K revs at 70 mph which made my ears bleed with a full decat 3" Blitz Nur Spec exhaust. Sounded like thunder.

The MK1 I had was running a Stage 2 set up and was 250 bhp with 495 lbs ft. Crazy car and gave 50 mpg back..........LOL. Agree though, straight lines are good but corners were a bit of pot luck.

The Mk2 was a great little set up and the DSG box was excellent. Std 180 bhp but delivered the power really well.
