i have just brought a new PC but how do i go about transfering my blueyonder telewest broadband onto the new computer?
do i just run the start up disk and enter my username and password or is there more to it, i am currently using a usb but i want to swap it over to eithernet cable so i can set up wireless is it still the same set up procedure?

what happens to all the favorites that are stored will i have to make a note of them or is there a way of storing them onto disk?

sorry if these are all dumb question but i am not very good with computers

thanks

If you are using ethernet, you should be able to just plug the cable into the new pc and it should work pretty much straight away without the disk. It does for me whenever build a pc for someone at my house, I plug the pc straight into my network cable and it works straight away.
Failing that, try using the disc and select the ethernet option (or whatever it is - basically not the usb one).

Personally I never use the blueyonder disc as I don't like all the crap that it installs.

As for your favourites, on your current pc, go to...
My Computer, C, Your name folder, select favourites and copy it to a disk or something. Then paste it into the same location on your new pc.

also, you will simply need to plug your modem into your new machine, install the information from the disk and use your old account details - job done.

You will need to restart your cable modem (unless you're using a router) to get it to recognise the mac address of your new network device.

As has been said, you won't need any software installed at all, other than motherboard drivers of course, which isn't an issue if you bought the PC.
