New Product that maybe good?

Being released in the US for about $20, so not too bad at all!

What do you guys think, does it have any applications in the detailing world? Looks impressive!

That's awesome. So many applications, but yea, nothing said about bodywork etc.
I wonder how durable it is too

Seen a few similar product videos now, impressive chemistry.

If it ever finds its way onto clothing as standard though it would be terrible, no more wet t-shirt contests :(

Also I wonder what happens as it breaks down on clothes and then you wash them etc, but it ends up looking s**t and patchy.

Can I apply it to my dog?

No more wet dog smell after she has been in the river! Win.

There are reasons it doesn't work on somethings. Iirc it doesn't withstand abrasion.

That is a shame then :(

Presumably it'd be no Rain-X replacement then? I imagine water hitting the windscreen @ 70mph is going to cause some sort of abrasion?

Would think its fine for the water hitting it but the windscreen wipers might cause an issue when you use them at lower speeds.

TBH though the GT stuff for windscreens is epic anyway and somehow manages to last about a year even when the car is used a lot where as rainx needs reapplying every couple weeks if you are driving a lot.

I always found with Rain-X it smears with the wipers - is that normal or am I applying it wrong? I gave up trying to use stuff like that as it just pissed me off in cold mornings when there was due on it!

No it does smear a bit as it kind of makes the water sheet under the wipers, especially if the wipers need replacing anyway, the GT stuff does so far less though.

^^ Rain-x is not amazing, and certainly not durable like the GT stuff. Sounds like you're doing something wrong - let alone using the wipers ;)

Anyway.. Looks immense stuff but don't spray that stuff on the GF eh !!! NeverWet.... LOL.
