how long till i get stopped by the law??

I wouldn't say it's worth it. A decent private plate on one is nice enought, the whole V6 WOW crowd etc aren't to be contented with using dodgy plates.

Surely if you can afford a V6, you can afford a proper plate??

Mickey mouse plates like that just look guff.

Well i only use the car once a week if that and mainly a/b roads where i rarely come across the plod.
Also gonna get some normal plates made up and keep em in boot....

jamie i wouldnt worry bout getin stopped my front regplate is well to small i havnt been stoped yet it doesnt look that dodgy, where the screw is fitted it does but just say the mechanic did it!

looks sweet tho ;)

looks good but if your breaking the law do it properly mate get the piece on the g extended to look like a 6 without the screws, i had my 3 made into a c on my plate and spaced wrong :o but ohh well i still get the same fine as if i had a diff font/size/pressed or anything wrong at all :D its all good not doing this if you have the funds to buy the best plate but i dont so :rasp:

£1000 fine bet u would get away with it a few times??? you not going to get it the 1st time u get pulled

Think they can put it down as a defect, and give £30 and get you to change it, otherwise -

  • A fine of up to £1,000
  • The registration mark may be WITHDRAWN
You said whats the worst, not whats likely to happen ;)

Just put black dot exactly the same the other side and tell the officer its how it came from the dealer!

looks crap, you can still tell without the screw what its supposed to be.

think its £60 now not £30 as i was done before for french plates

I didn't mean it literally mate. I know it's your plate, but how you've styled it is a joke.

I don't really get what it means tho?

did it no, thats basically it. me and the mrs were left it by her late father in law, as he wanted to keep it in the family, and just reminds us of him, when we see it.

D101TNO, youve bent the rules more than me then! how long you had it like that?

I cant see you having much trouble around here with that if im honest, iv seen far worse plates than that.. we get cars in with dodgy plates like that quite often, yeah they fail M.O.T but they can be changed and they usually put the old ones back on.

Imo ul be fine, cops tend not to bother about that kind of thing around these parts..
