New rings... will it need a re bore?

As above, doing a pikey rebuild for someone, my argument is that we can get away with it.

Am I right haha?

Depends on how worn the boars are, if your just replacing the rings then the boars will need to be honed.

Again depends why you are fitting new rings. If it is just to "freshen up" an already good engine then with honing they should be ok, however, if it was drinking oil due to excessive bore wear or low compressions then that's another story.
You would need to check with an internal micrometer to establish just how worn the bores are really.
 
  182/RS2/ Turbo/Mk1
If you rebore it then you need new (larger) pistons as well.

So if its a cheap freshen up your ONLY option is a quick hone and lob them in.
