New shocks

think one of my rear skocks have gone plus discovered this morning that the front drivers side has also gone so looking to change all for shocks on the motor!! Any guide to wat price i should be paying for all 4 to be replaced, standard parts no up grades??

Rear shocks are quite cheap around £30-40 IIRC and Fronts are about £100 I THINK!!

Rear shocks for a 172 were about £55 each from Renault when I bought a pair a few months back.

Not sure on the front shocks cost.

£200 for all 4, easy fit to, where are you located?

I just replaced one of my rear shocks - cost me £28 inc government wages

It wasn't a genuine renault shock but it's doing the job every bit as good until I save up for the return of coilovers again

Cant Believe this, but rung around 10 different places to get quotes for 4 new shocks and my local Renault dealer turned out to be the cheapest!! Oh well a first for eveything I suppose!

Replace both at same time mate imo, a job you should be able do yourself as it aint to hard so you should only be buying parts.

Thats wat im going to do fella, replace all 4 and do the job myself. Renault have quoted me £216 for all four, the next cheapest was K Tec @ £230 with P&P so will be going to Renault themselves for the parts

Put all 4 new shocks on yesterday (took about 21/2 to 3 hours) and I now realise how bad the old ones were! lol!! Not only does the car handle like it should and how i remember when i first got her, but it looks so much lower, front and back even though the shocks are standard! Well happy now gents!!!
