i got one, had it bout 5 months, not had any problems with it, great head unit. Only bad things i can say is that after a few hours pumpin it can get rather warm (dont all head units), part from that, love it

Got the 7700, and i love it. Had 2 Sony head units and loved both. The other one is in my brothers car and is still going perfectly after 2 years. Dunno why people slate them on her. Look a thousand times nicer than alpine and pionners. And to be honest my mate had a £500 alpine and it wasnt that special.

aint got clips.. 2 of em are a snowboarder, snowboardin on this mountain.. another is a subaru WRC rally car.. nothin too long but very nice indeed

i aint one to be lookin at the stereo too often, if its kickin my tunes.. its all good, if it does some other tricks.. sweet. this does all of those.. and more

Cool just trying to find out as much as possible this is my 2nd choice at the mo if my cheeky bid for a jvc exad is too low on ebay then this it is found a site selling them for £143 brand new not refurb etc.. with full warranty

ooo also, put my radio aerial adapter on yesterday as i hadnt tried the radio yet.. and the frequency search only goes up in .2s on odd numbers, like
95.1
95.3
95.5
95.7
i cant figure out how you get it to search in
95.2
95.4
95.6 etc etc
any ideas?

no idea mate, got it from ebay ages n ages ago, any way of gettin it reprogrammed or altered so it searches in .1s or on even numbers? ive looked on the internet on FAQs n couldnt find a damn thing

im think im gonna ban you from " voicing your opinion ", your " opinion " usually consists of utter b****cks which aint needed at all and you just say it to wind people up.
your comments and " opinions " usually make a lot of people
basically, sony dont make good HU, i have had a xplod HU, and it was not good, it did look OK with all the flashing lights, but thats it.
Sony have only made a few HU that i would i buy, they are now reasonably old, and stillgo for much much more than this unit!
go for an alpine, nak or pioneer unit and you will do much better.
Thats is just my opinion, but many other peoples as well, and i have had a fair few HUs.
If you dont belive it, go to a decent ICE store and have listen to a few on decent speakers

all the other xplod were sh*te IMO but i have this one this thread is about and the sound quality is excellent. u dont have to have all flashing lights/animations and i have a simple equalizor effect on mine along with the mp3 name. the main reason i bought it as you can get adaptor not only for stalk, but to use the cars in-built display as well and i also think its a very good looking HU and doesnt look at all out of place in my 172. i have had alpine etc and i think this particular sony looks a lot better than any alpine HU and sound quality is pretty much the same. of course mighty-mod tom will know better as usual. were u picked on as a child tom? only joking of course mighty one
arrrrrrrrrrrrr the sony deck in question is actually one of their better units including mp3 technology, 3 preouts, all of which are a decent voltage. However im driven mad in work with people that go......coooooorrrrr safeeee bruvvvvv i goot the xpllllllloood headunit and da wires is cut on da back innit...how much dollars is a new one safe. I tell um its 30 quid ( i work for ripspeed) and ask which model theyve got...GUARANTEED theyll say da xplod one bruvvvvv......to which ill reply
XPLOD IS A f**kING MARKETING NAME NOT A f**kING MODEL NO. YOU CHAV...lol sorry this is one thing that drives me mad with sony products as all your typical chavs buy um! And sorry for using the word chav but it does describe the type of customer perfectly !
