New steering wheel

  182 Cup
Opinions? It's not tiny at 350mm, but it makes such a difference to the feel of the steering! I'm happy! (please excuse the poor photography skills)

Awesome, mines the same size, but dished to bring it closer. Love it!

I looked at yours before making up my mind! I also read your comments about the reach to the stalks! Even mine without the dish is going to take a bit of getting used to! I didn't find it an easy choice when it came to picking one out!

Looks well that mate.

How easy/hard of a job is it to do?

It was so easy. Basically, what I did was give money to Mark Fish - he then did the work!

To be fair, I don't think it's difficult in the slightest, but I didn't fancy playing with the airbag. And as the car was in with him having the cage fitted it made sense.

Haha! another reading fail on my part, should have realised you had it fitted by someone else by your 1st post.

Yeah! playing with the airbag is what puts me off having ago at it, don't fancy a broken nose when it decides to go off.

Sweet. I've been thinking about a 320mm Momo Tuner TBH.

I don't yet have harnesses but, f**k it TBH. I don't intend to crash, and I drive defensively on the road, so my chances of being crashed into are reduced.

I think if you disconnect the battery for a certain amount of time (20mins?) it's made safe, but if I was doing it I'd be leaving it for 6 hours of something stupid just in case! And I'd want the stuff the bomb disposal guys wear before I started to stick screwdrivers in random parts of the wheel!

Looks like you've caught the track bug! There were times on here when I wondered if you even had a car!

Looks good that.

You wouldn't do me a favour would you please, and measure the distance between a pair of opposite mounting holes. I'm just looking at bosses for my mk1 to fit my Sabelt Cup wheel, but it'd be nice to know if a more well known brand of wheel is the same fitment.

No worries, will measure in the morning.

F'uck you -x-

Lol! If I knew that you weren't going to be cleaning your wheels every weekend, I'd take that as an offer!

If you end up getting round to it can you do a guide please

It's on the to do list! (It's a long list)

Wouldn't put me off at all. There's dozens of old Porka's that I want to own, none of which have airbags. Does make you a bit more cautious though!

Looks good fella! I have a Corsica, used to have a flat SParco but I lowered the column and I used to catch my knees when pedal hopping. You're right about steering feel though, transforms the car! PM me pics of the rear box sections for the cage too if you get chance ;)
