new to cruise control

righty guys my first clio problem.

got my 182 now and while on the long drive home figuered id try cruise control. fucked if i kno how it works though.

i press the button for the green light to appear on dash to set a limit and use the steering wheel controls to find a speed,. that bit works, however upon releasing the button on the dash it forgets the speed and switches it off... is the dash button supposed to stay pressed in? or do i have a fucked button.

me thinks 3 months warrenty will be used...

you just press it when you're at speed and that's it, the +/- is so you can adjust the speed you're at without touching the pedals

You leave the dash button pushed in, and cancel/resume cruise with the button on the right of the steering wheel. Cancel/resume will remember the last speed set. Pressing the left button will set the speed as your current speed and engage cruise.

in that case i think its broke, the green light doesnt stay on once its pressed it just comes up with SET_ _ _ and when released the green light goes off

Turn cruise on so the green light appears. Press the + button when you're at the desired speed. Thats it! Then use the +/- buttons to adjust the speed, use the R button to resume after cancelling and the O button to cancel.

Yes the switch is shafted, has happened to be a few people.

Sometimes the dash button does pop out. I've read about it on here at least. Perhaps your dash button is f**ked. Does the speed limiter work?
