New to forum, advice on mods please

  Clio mk 2
Hi I've just bought a red mk 2 1.2 clio and looking to do some cheap mods to make it look a bit more sporty. Thinking about painting the calipers red, respraying the alloys a dark grey like a trophy clio, aluminium race pedals, and sport door sills. anymore ideas of what I could do without spending a fortune?

Any ideas of what small mods I could do to make it look a bit more sporty? I like the idea of making it look a bit like a trophy, by maybe colour coding the bumpers and respraying the alloys. any suggestions?

I'd say colour code the side strips, rs grill, 172 rear bumper and a cup spoiler, a little bit of lows and you have a nice tidy 5 door ;)

Looks tidy that does, the wheels look nice and clean in that pic.

Personally my main priority would be to get rid of the arch gap with some springs if you're not on a big budget, or even grab some second hand coilovers, there's always a few good bargains about on here.

A Renault Sport grille makes a huge difference to a non sport so definitely get that on your list.

Is colour coding the side strips as easy as just buying a can from halfords and spraying it? and do you reckon I could do the same thing with the wing mirrors?

you can get them to mix up the paint for you but you would have to sand them, primer laquer etc.

if you want a proper job done of them best to get them painted professionally

Sell it and buy a 3 door if you want to make it looks sporty realistically, as no decent mk2 clio ever came with 5 doors.

Be aware that cheap mods might not be so cheap when you inform your insurance company about the changes.

I wanted a 5 door clio because its far more practical to carry all my uni stuff in as well as driving my mates around, just looking at any ways I could customize it to enjoy what I've got as much as I can.
I think I'm going to get the side strips colour coded, the calipers red, the alloys the same colour as the trophy clio, and I'll start looking into grills and coilovers. Any other ideas would be appreciated!!
