New tools

  Clio172
After not fiddling with the car for a few months i have found by small box of tools has gone missing! must have been stolen from the garage without me knowing???

Over the years i have complied quite a few tools some specialist and quite expensive i.e. snap on etc.

Does anyone know where i can get a fairly cheap all encompsing set to get me going again? around £300?

Cheers:(

That's a tragedy matey. If my tools were nicked I'd be devastated.

As said, a Halfords set could get you going, or have a look on the bay.
There's constantly sets of tools on there and lots of Snap-On stuff.

Any insurance to claim on?

i have alot of halford stuff with my snap on stuff there is no difference between them imo and u get the lifetime guarantee..

If you decide to go with Halfrauds, make sure you find someone with a trade card, tools are DIRT cheap when using it.

My mate just bought a load of strap-on stuff off Ebay. Reckons its all the mechanics that are being made redundant shifting their kit on.

yeah halfords 100 odd piece socket/spanner set is decent enough and cheap enough to get you going again.

Halfords advanced (or is it pro) stuff is decent, it isn't as strong as snap-on stuff but when you break it they swap it for free no questions asked :)

Halfords stuff is way over priced and crap - Teng tools are cheap and offer the same quality as snap on.
