New top mounts - squeaky!

Hello

I replaced all 4 shocks and used new top mounts. These seem to be a slightly different design but went on ok.

Now I have a squeak when cornering hard, also the top mount seems to be tight to the car, the ones before had a gap, is this correct?

That's drivers side then passengers

They like to squeak on clios. It's just a reno thing.

everythin squeaks or rattles on a clio.. ain't no reason why your top mounts would be different. I like to shout at my car or hit it regularly as find this helps

New Renault top mounts are shocking and unsure if they actually fit properly yet as they never have before.

You ideally need some washers in there. When rubbers get old they move to the top of the strut housing and the top nut is really high, lower means newer.

Cool, so pop some of those dan@MAD top mount washer from ebay and sorted?

Funny its stopped squeaking recently actually.
