P Phil 99 May 10, 2004 #1 hi Looking to get some new tyres. I have some mk1 ph1 clio alloys with no tyres on. are they 165 or 185 across? (no ruler) and what does what speed mean? so its a call for measurments please. cheers

M Matt16v Car 300bhp MR2 Turbo May 10, 2004 #4 deepends what alloys mate - the valvers are 185/55/15. My old RT ones were 165/65/13 I believe. Speed rating would depend on what car you have - some barely do 100mph which is a slowish rating and some do 130mph + which is different. I believe the rating is marked with a single letter but dont quote me on that.
