Right 182 PE2s in 205/45/16s W rated are good as £100 each!!!!

But Toyo T1-R in 195/45/16s V rated are £53 each

A friend has had Toyo's and eagle f1's and he prefers the Toyo's to the F1s so they can't be bad, is it a no brainer and save myself some pennies?

Exactly can get a full set for same price of 2 pe2s, twice the fun!

Your friend is actually insane.

lol

Until you put it into a ditch in the slightly damp... ;) :p

If you drive like that in the wet you will never be far from a ditch !

i have had my cup for over 4 yrs and had T1R's for the majority and having no ABS i have managed to avoid ditches thus far !!

Eagle F1s every day of the week for me. Have been running them on my Cup from the day I got it.

Wouldn't touch Toyos (T1-R or T1-S) as there are much better tyres out there.

Yeah but are they worth twice as much, cant say i liked the eagle f1s, they feel "wobbly" at a certain point.

ive got pirelli p zeros, brilliant tyre, used to have pe2's on my old honda and these are every bit as good wet or dry

Yozza reckons Toyos rock as do Yoko paradas so maybe i will try one on each corner and see what happens ;)

Toyos are.... Let me try to be leniant here....

S H I T !!!!

No other word to describe them, their only good use is donuts and drifting, mainly because you'll wear them out quicker meaning you can buy some decent rubber!

Each to there own :S

ive been looking at get aset of these as they look pretty good and same sort of price as the t1rs

I saw them but wandered whats the difference in them to T1-R's ?
that ws my train of thought also with them more or less being the same price but different treat pattern i also seen them with a rating of XL so does that mean they have a stiffer side wall for xtra load?(XL)

had a set of both Toyo tyres and Parada Spec 2's on my old car and the Parada's in the Dry had simply awesome grip even when being pushed very hard but in the wet they used to be completely usesless. The Toyo's on the other hand were still good in the dry and could have fun with the car still but in the wet they performed a hell of a lot better than the Parada's in the wet.

Used Toyo's, soft, lack grip in the wet, generally poor. People can't seriously be naive enough to believe that a product half the price is as good? F1's (gsd3's) are great, but you have to play around with the pressures. If you do want to save cash, go halfway and get pirelli pzero's. Country mile better than the toyo's.

F1s til I die, bloody brilliant tyre imo. GSD3s little soft in the sidewall but nothing major to cause problems, will be chucking some assemetrics on the megane as soon as i've killed these dunlops off.

My personal order of preference:

Pirelli P-Zero Nero
For the money they are better than PE2's. However I find that PE2's are that little bit better overall.

Michelin PE2
Brilliant tyres come rain or shine. Awesome grip even when it's muddy.

Goodyear Eagle F1
Never had them on the Clio, but the rears on the Merc (255/40/17) lasted about 4,000 miles. Never was very impressed with their traction to be honest.

I found the S to be shite in anything other than the dry, buying a set of wheels with some R's on so will find out if they are any better.

Exaltos maybe pricey but they are a set up from F1's and the T1S.
