New wax wanted for iceburg

  Clio MK 4
My p21's or r222 as the new name is running out. I think it works well but wondered if there is anything that might be better but is no more expensive than £25.

interesting. would you say the last one is as good as p21's? I know i probably won't tell much difference between most waxes on a silver car.

The 1000P will have better durability than the R222 but I doubt it will be better lookswise. If you're happy with the R222 then stick with it.

I'd go for R222 still, I loved it on my Iceberg, I recently purchased both R222 & 476S from cleanyoucar, still got to use either on the E-Class.

I've also got a new pot of Swissvax Onyx though, hmm choices, choices ;)

Agree with Alex here - the R222 is an epic looking wax for the money, but it doesn't last very long, so it's one for warmer times IMO.

1000P or Colli 476S are a great choice on silver, especially this time of year. The Colli will last longer than the Finish Kare, but the FK is easier and less forgiving to remove

No need to wax every week fella, that really is just a waste of money.

R222 will last a month minimum. Do two thin layers every 1-2 months and that will see you fine. TBH sealents are where it's at. Get some Chem Guys blitz on it.

Collinite or Fk should last you.... a long time. I had 2 coats on a silver car and a year later it was still sheeting. Didnt get washed though. I find Fk and Colly are the longest lasting ive ever used, but theyre so s**t to use i dont bother with them anymore. My GT had a quick coat of Fk and 3 months later it still sheets. Started using best of Show as my winter wax now.

Not used 222 so i cannot comment.

I tried Dodo Juice light fantastic, topped with Werkstatt Acrylic and found it to work really well, when non OCD type people looked at my car they would often blab on how "wet" the paint looks.

This was after copious amounts of paint correction over 2 months.
