New Zaust how much ins

Car  2015 ST2(MO)/CorsaLE
Prev i was with halifax who are underwritten by esure! anyway - i rang a while back (as i say when i was with halifax) to check if i had a s/s exhaust would it cost me anything! - they said no! which i was very pleased about!

I renewed with Esure as as say same policy just sister company! i rang up yesterday to check if i had a s/s as i have yet to sort one and they want 36.22 which is a joke in its self! this is for a mod increase of 10bhp (10%) i explained that a s/s wouldnt give anything like that! i guess it all boils down to who you get to speak to..

What do other people think, i only went with them as they were cheap (a lot cheaper then others) so i guess with that extra 36.22 its not to bad! but still a joke none the less....

what did you pay please ;)

ive only been with them a month! changing i would loose money ncb - i guess its hardly worth it and just worth paying! why halifax said no charge and e sure said 36.22 ill never know!

What exhaust you buying Paul, I want one too!

as i say i only went with them as it was cheap! :) swings and roundabouts i guess! btb pepsi!

still a charge (MR FUBAR) i guess its not to bad! just dissapointing its not free like halifax! ;)

^^ yes! i said its like for like! i said ill give you the details of the company its from! (which they didnt want) they said will it sound different! yes i said the oem one is metal when the new one would be s/s - she said most aftermarket exhausts will increase bhp - i said minimum yes and even on a r/r you would be lucky to see any increase! well she said its 36.22 - what else could i have said!:S

they make honest peopke disshonest with there charges imo! and just upset a customer - when it comes to renwal time i wont go with them!! so they loose

I think you will struggle to find many insurance companies that won't charge an admin fee to update details.

did they charge a premium for your seats?

nope lol! for some reason halifax and esure didnt seem to be interested there not classed as a so call 'performace mod'

the 36.22 allows up to 10% i argued that the said exhaust isnt going to be anywere near 10% but that fell on deaf ears!!

im suprised tbh... having no seat airbags you've lowered the safety rating of the car.

not really as i have a cup and didnt have any to start with! but as i say they wasnt bothered! i said they both dont have airbags! but tbh i think i was telling them information they didnt seemed bothered about! very odd at times ins is!!

If the £36 if for 10% performance increase, then at least know you can do plenty of performance mods for this hike in insurance without exceeding the 10% performance gain!

^ there is that but you get that in wriiting i doubt it! i i rang again i bet they would want some more money out of me! i hate ins!!!!

He gave me first dibs when I sold him my springs, you lie Paul, you LIEEEEEEEEEEEE

Was interested in it but skint until i get all my backpay end of November.

It has been scientifically proven that the above is incorrect.

You should consider yourself lucky, i phoned up my insurer (Bell) to see if an exhaust would increase the price and they said.....wait for it.....£146.81
What???? (I hear you say)
Yes £146.81, so i said i won't be doing that then or renewing with you (2@'s i said under my breath)
What a rip off.
Makes yours seem like a bargain.

With Brentacre for my insurance...As long as my mods don't take my over my BHP limit there is no charge for them. If I go over the BHP limit they gave me I have to pay slightly more.

All other mods suspension, brakes, cosmetic are no charge and no admin fees. They also replace like for like if you make a claim.

Best company I have had to deal with so far. Even gave me full NCB even though I technically have non. Was on a fleet policy for the last 6 years.
