Na i think i'll keep it as it is.... breaking it in gently atm so i've not yet taken it above 4k rpm ... just coming up 700 miles... but i think its gonna be fun... :D
 
I remember running the bike it, a painfully long 600 miles at 4K rpm max, a lot when it redlined at about 14K iirc. Worth it though to have a sweet engine in the long term (can of worms now open :p)

Nice car though, only thing i'd do is lower it.
 
Yep i think it could be lowered ... i do think the front is particulary high,.... whether i'll bother having it done is a diffrerent matter... as i want to trade it in after 4 years or so for the newest Clio Sport......

Just keep the standard bits to put it back to normal when you sell it, thats what most do.

damm lol, ill be running mine through to 1000 miles and then giving it some stick. i wonder how long the gears are. Out of interest, where does 4000 rpm in 2nd gear get you to ?

Mines due sometime in the unknown future, i hate renault.

At 4000 RPM - 1st Gear 20 mph - 2nd Gear 35 mph - 3rd Gear 50 mph

The GT redlines at 7000 RPM , Power band starts just after 4000.

And yes i agree ... i'm not thrashing mine until 1000 Miles. Around 300 miles to go.
 
nice choice, that blue seems to be the colour people are going for.
ive got a black one.........got 3k on it now and gets some lead foot when i get to drive it :-)
 
im not sure what everyones saying about the run in period?? I got my 1.2 tce brand new pulled out of the dealer ship (after she had warmed up) and hit the limiter and continued to drive it like I stole it the rest of the day... still do! its coming up to 35k mile in a year and a half and its not missed a beat yet!

tis a lovely car though mate. very nice :) can we see pics from it behind? It has that nice exhaust correcto?
 
We need a special GT owner's group i thinks ;) For all like 4 of us? haha
