Not a clue how these work so im just giving it a bash and now im stuck.

downloaded a programme called grabit, and its asking for my isp address. does anyone know what it is for virgin media?

is it news.virginmedia.co.uk ? not 100% sure

also, any pointers, n00b guide on how to get my head round using newsgroups?

I think there used to be a sticky on them by Griff. Looks like its gone now.

I'm on Giganews server, and use Newzbin and other sites to find my stuff. Spot on so far. Quick server and download speeds, too. It does cost around £10 a month or so, but so much content and available files.

Newsleecher is far superior.

are the other download sites any good? ive been using newzbin.com for years not realising there were other sites. Also i use Newsbin pro which i paid for didnt really like newsleecher.

yeh thats what i was asking for in the OP but judging by comments on here, isp servers are crap
