Wish I had the time chief then I would, its intersting to hear what other car enthusiasts are talking about and if you can give the name of the garage that let you take a DB9 out ill be around on the weekend.
Autocar gets up my nose - computer GI of next years cars that never appear and headlines that promise much and inside theres f*** all. EVO much preferred but all the comics are too expensive and present their opinions as if theyre facts. I have a subscription to Road and Track from the USA that costs me $20 delivered for a year (unfortunately no Reno as they arent marketted over there). Why are EVO, TG, CAR and the others so expensive - rip-off Britain.
Having said all that Ill probably buy Autocar because the 182 is in - if they slate it Ill start a hate mail campaign!
I do think some of these magazines are worth the money. £3.80 for EVO is not much as you are getting a lot of magazine for your cash and if you are buying a £15k car its very small in comparison.
Also I think the information within is valuable.
When choosing between a Type R and a 182 I could have either based the decision on a twenty minute test drive around my local dealerships back streets or listen to the words of a top driver like Phil Bennett who writing for EVO was able to really give the car a test.
I think it would have been pretty arrogant of me to step out of a car after a test drive and say yeah I know better than him...
