Is it stuck on the hub ? When this happens i turn it on full lock and use a rubber hammer to bash it a bit, then turn it, bash it, turn it etc !!

Yep, hefty kick will shock it into unbinding, and make sure you put a bit of high melting point grease on the bit that bound - so next time is a piece of piss.

get a block of wood to protect the wheel and give it a few good thrashes with a hammer.that will shift it.
